YES - and I expect it promptly, gorram it!
YES - even if it's just a "Thank you", I want my existance acknowledged!
YES - but take your time getting back to me, I understand you have 4,000+ Messages in your Inbox.
NO - I comment because I have something to say and don't necessarily expect a response.
NO - I'm aware you're busy and have other stuff to do.
NO - But I still think you're a scum-sucking sink-swiller for not replying, you funky-armpit piddle-pusher.

I don't like getting replies back that just say "Thank you" on them. They clutter my own inbox, even though it is kind of nice to be acknowledged. What I like is when someone replies to my comment by saying something interesting or funny. Then a mini conversation gets going and that's a really good thing in my mind.
