Shisha Pipes at Three A.M. ...

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 25, 2013, 11:35 AM
There's nothing quite like sitting back on pillows in a dim room with painted murals and UV lights discussing the problems of the world and how we can change the future for the better through the aromatic smoke of several shisha pipes with complete strangers. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

I feel like I can change the world. Maybe not in big ways, but in small, baby steps. I want to finish this animation, I want to get my message out. I want to make a graphic novel that underlines current issues through the eyes of my characters; I want to make a difference. I feel justified in knowing I'm not the only one who thinks like this.

I want to change the world.

... Damn, this sounded so much better in my head at 3a.m. in the cafe toilets when I thought of it.

You already are changing the world, dear Sak!

All that you're doing on DA (and beyond, I guess) proves that. You've already made so many things at such a young age: comics, Album cover for Voltaire, animating/drawing like a boss, etc... You're changing the world when your characters take life through the little pieces of gold that you share with us, because they bring happiness and life their own way and make them stuck in minds for the rest of our days.

You already made a difference. Such a difference.

So yes. You're so right to trust in that. (don't blame the shisha!)

Oh gosh, I just draw silly comics because I enjoy making people laugh! But I am so glad that I'm at least doing that. It honestly makes me so happy when people tell me I helped brighten up what might have been a bad day. Thanks so much. =)

Do those pipes have anything to do with pot? And yeah, I can get behind that.

You absolutely can :) Influencing individuals is the only way to ever really change things, and you have the potential to reach a LOT.

I really hope so ... imagine being the little pebble that starts the avalanche ... not that that's a great comparison to make.

No that's a perfect comparison :) Except with an animation or graphic novel, it will reach a lot more individuals, so it's more like a bag full of pebbles that could start an avalanche.
