Shisha Pipes at Three A.M. ...There's nothing quite like sitting back on pillows in a dim room with painted murals and UV lights discussing the problems of the world and how we can change the future for the better through the aromatic smoke of several shisha pipes with complete strangers. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
I feel like I can change the world. Maybe not in big ways, but in small, baby steps. I want to finish this animation, I want to get my message out. I want to make a graphic novel that underlines current issues through the eyes of my characters; I want to make a difference. I feel justified in knowing I'm not the only one who thinks like this.

It's Happening!!Louis is starting to talk!

It's happening!
For those asking, I'm animating directly into the computer using a Wacom tablet. The animation program I'm using is TVPaint Animation 10 Pro. Super expensive so I use the school computers, but it's like the illegitimate love-child between Photoshop and Adobe After Effects without Flash's niggling tendencies to crash every ten minutes. That program is sex. <3

It's sound-effect-less, music-less, and not cleaned up at all, but I will be uploading each scene as I complete them so that the voice actors can see how their work is coming together. Perhaps it's also interesting for people interested in some of the processes of animation, as well.

Okay, no, on a more serious note: I've just had to re-draw the last two days' worth of frames and in-betweens for Louis because I realized I'd been drawing him "wrong".
Throughout Louis's character progress he's undergone several changes, most based on my own personal decisions, but many were also due to feedback from you guys here on DA, and I realise now that the "Louis is too skinny I don't like it" comments got to me more than they should have.
What these people don't realize is that Louis is ridiculously tall and skinny on purpose: he's a cartoon. He's not meant to be realistic, he's meant to be an exaggeration of the flamboyant gay stereotype, the skinny French stereotype, and his design reflects his wiles and cunning when it comes to out-witting his opponents. For the Love of Ib So I have fallen in love with a horror game and that game is Ib (actually pronouced as "Eve" but try telling that to my mind). Beautiful in its simplicity of game play and amazing story-line, it is a definite must play. And it seems my admiration is not only limited to myself, as you will see the many spectacular artists inspired by this game!
Some Information about the game

IB is a freeware horror game developed through the use of RpgMaker 2000/2003 by kouri and translated by VGperson.

The story revolves around Ib, a nine-year-old girl who visits an art museum with her parents. She looks around the museum on her own, and the lights suddenly began to flicker. Let it never be said that Sak doesn't deliver!

Last Sunday I had a Skype meeting with Brendan Julian and Richard Johnston - the voices of Louis and James respectively from my upcoming animation - to discuss the finer points of Honour Amongst Thieves. As promised, I managed to record it and so without further ado, I present to you:

I was delighted to see the two of them got along so well, because their character interaction promises to be great this way. Unfortunately, Santiago's VA was unable to make it due to timezones, but perhaps sometime in future we'll be able to repeat this again plus one Spaniard!

Lol, it would be cool if you did, but it's understandable with the time situation, I remember that picture you posted before were you were all Zombie, it must be really rough.

I've barley started posting halfway decent pictures on my own account, and I can't even imagine what it must be like to create an animation with the amount of detail and character Louis and James have, or how many hours goes into making one simple gesture. So I want to tell you right now how much I appreciate all the hard work you've been doing, and I'm 100% positive that 'Honor Amount Thieves' is going to be a total knock out when it's completed!

I'd have to be with Louis in it.
