Shisha Pipes at Three A.M. ...There's nothing quite like sitting back on pillows in a dim room with painted murals and UV lights discussing the problems of the world and how we can change the future for the better through the aromatic smoke of several shisha pipes with complete strangers. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
I feel like I can change the world. Maybe not in big ways, but in small, baby steps. I want to finish this animation, I want to get my message out. I want to make a graphic novel that underlines current issues through the eyes of my characters; I want to make a difference. I feel justified in knowing I'm not the only one who thinks like this.

Back from Tracon (long post is long)Just came back from Tracon 2012 a few minutes ago. Gonna write this all up when it's still fresh in my memory. (and by the time I finish it'll already be hours from when I started lol)
Last night I had a bit of a panic with this Thor cosplay of mine. It was all ready done and ready to go but it looked absolutely disgusting to my eyes. There was no way I was going to go to the convention wearing that sh*t. So I stayed up to 3 AM trying to add some small minor details here and there to make it look at least a little bit better like the idiot that I am. Really wasn't the best move as I had to get up at 7 AM.
Once I was finally done I jumped to the bed ready to pass out but I was so nervous and I had just downed an energy drink I didn't catch sleep until 4 AM or so. So I got about only 3 or less hours of sleep. Goddamn my head felt like a mess. @_@;;;
But yeah, morning came around, :iconPacMoc: came over to my place and me, her and :iconFist-o-Falcon: took off and onwards to the convention

On the subject of Copyrights and ContentsI'd like to take this moment to address a very important issue within the art community, and this is Copy Rights.
Recently I had had a situation with a client that reminded me that both parties- the client AND the artist- have specific rights that need to be addressed at the time of creating a design and/or illustration. Both parties need to have a CLEAR understanding of their rights, and ask any and as many questions until they feel as if they have the right information. Assumption and dishonesty are not good business foundations, let alone become legal liability in the long run. Lying on any side is the most common action that leads to bigger situations that at time, will be dealt with legally.
From here on in, the "Client" is the commissioner, and the "Artist" is the person in charge of design, illustration, and/or color.

Vampire CollegeThe other day, my dad handed me a printout of an article from a conservative website about going to college. Dad does this from time to time, I think because he suspects I'm a filthy liberal, and wants to send a few shots across the bow to see if I fire back. I usually don't, because I've been through enough warfare to have a better idea of when to pick my battles.

Okay, no, on a more serious note: I've just had to re-draw the last two days' worth of frames and in-betweens for Louis because I realized I'd been drawing him "wrong".
Throughout Louis's character progress he's undergone several changes, most based on my own personal decisions, but many were also due to feedback from you guys here on DA, and I realise now that the "Louis is too skinny I don't like it" comments got to me more than they should have.
What these people don't realize is that Louis is ridiculously tall and skinny on purpose: he's a cartoon. My photography course at HogwartsUuuugh you guys, my sleep has been so terrible. I woke up out of a pretty entertaining dream, though.
I was taking a photography class at Hogwarts and Snape was our teacher. I think Ron and Harry might also have been in our class but I never did see them. Our assignment at the time was to get ten outstanding photographs of animals in their natural habitat and he told us we had to roll up our pant-legs and go wading in a swamp full of alligators and poisonous snakes if we hoped to get any good ones. Happy Mayan Doomsday, all!!!

Suffice to say I managed to land in Holland alright and

and I have been having a fun time taking walks through freezing cold fog and eating oliebollen and generally being bang-up perfect examples of "alive".

We also spent some time this evening listening to the voice auditions for Honour Amongst Thieves that I've received so far, and may I just say that a lot of the entries have been just SO amazing!! I'm seriously having a really hard time trying to choose between some of these voices, but I'm going to leave the auditions open until early January, so if we don't all die before the 22nd you've still got some time on your hands.
