The Major project of my second year of animation is to produce a one-minute short featuring one
bipedal character by the end of this semester. I've narrowed down my ideas and am currently stuck in the difficult position of trying to decide which of two possible shorts to develop: one featuring a plague doctor and one featuring a ferret-thief.
I feel like the ferret's plot is rather linear (your standard sneak in, mess up, sneak out theft mission in a Medieval setting) unless I think of some way to jazz it up between now and Monday, which is a skill I am currently lacking at this point. The doctor's plot is significantly more ... macabre,
for lack of a better word, featuring a bit of "black humor" but is currently only about twenty seconds long.
While I'm incredibly partial to my design of the ferret, at the moment I'm leaning more towards animating the doctor and his somewhat unorthodox methods of getting people to leave him alone. I drew them both in one picture and slapped some quick colors on hoping it'd help me make up my mind, but now I'm even more unsure which to do.--Sak
