It's that time of semester again, the time when I need to plow through my dozens of folders to organise my sketches into some sort of presentable order, to submit in my project treatment. While going through my files I stumbled across some pictures from last semester that never saw the light of DAy, on account of how busy I was. It's time I amended that.
14 pages from my sketchbook from last year that I simply forgot to upload until now, I apologise, Santiago, you always seem to get the short end of my stick.
Some of the character development here is no longer canonical, such as most of the events now taking place after the Signing of Utrecht, which is when Louis sails to the Caribbean; only James and Santiago are veterans of Queen Anne's War.

ROFL, Santiago started as bishounen and ended as old badass. Could be worse, he could end up as a gonk. XD
It's great how much thought you give into the design to make the characters stand out more. For example giving them different body shapes such as Short John Silver serving as Louis' leaning on furniture.
Gosh I could stare at your beautiful notes all day @u@ there's so much to learn!
...and I know I keep saying this, but I can't help it. DAMMIT I love Louis's legs!
I like the crew's diversity. All of them are different and have their own little knack to them. They represent what Louis is and stands for which is to be the only you and the best you that you can be. (That was a lot of yous, wasn't it?) It's almost like, this group was seen as different from the societies where they would've been expected to blend in. I imagine that they respect Louis because he's not just a pirate captain that can offer them gold and whatnot. But the fact that Louis is different and the crew could possibly have more freedom to be different than even other pirate crews. I mean...I assume so. I love Mr. Lanky (The Crow). Such a lovely nose! *Comes from a big nose family*
What do you mean the British guards are NPCs? I want them to be player characters! *flips a table* Jk jk
I just love the action in it and I think it would look amazing in color!
I love Louis on Santiago's sword "Here have a HAT!"
and the height comparison... heehee little English man (I know an english boy... compared to me only a year older + a female he's very short, yet still a few cm taller than me -_-)
Love these sketches very insightful and just ART!! I love your art it makes me smile!
You're stuff is fantastic! I can't wait to see the final results.
Absolutely beautiful work.
Is it weird that I almost love these compilations, work-in-progress, development sketches more than the final product sometimes? They're just so fascinating-- I love seeing the process and I really learn a lot from these ♥
Thanks so much for continuing to post them!!! ♥
