One of the more memorable characters from Leanon and, might I add, one of the most difficult to capture in a drawing.

Taniqa only ever met him once but as you can probably tell Yachalis is not your ordinary Zoraï. The moment he appeared behind Salazar (who was, of course, monitoring Tani's every move outside the premesis of the Argo Navis ... ) she was both afraid and fascinated by him at the same time. I'm not the best person to tell his story--you'll have to ask Nic about that--but his mask, something that is biologically attached to the Zoraï's face, has cracked. It's very painful for him to move his face as a result, and he only has one "eye".

The single eye was difficult to do; I don't know if it's noticeable but there is a slight blood red tinge inside the empty socket of the cracked side of the mask I added to try and make it look more hollow. When I was roleplaying with him as well I also kept imagining him with dried blood and scabs between the shards of mask as a result of the splintered edges digging into his tissue, and added that to try and enhance his intimidating look. You can see why Taniqa would have been afraid, but being the innocent (well ... more naïve little soul) she is, she wasn't about to turn tail and run. I'm interested to see what will happen when she can finally meet him again on Atys.

Oh yes, and he's also got a killer dragon tattoo running all the way from his chest to his back (the original version of the tatt is here: [link] ). The dragon was designed by Nic, as was everything else about him, and is a bit of a mix between an insect and a Chinese dragon, since Zoraï are the Asian races on Atys, and the Kitin--giant insects--are monsters to be respected. According to the Karavan lore, Homins must not dig past the Prime Roots lest they awaken the sleeping dragon, bloated with his fire, within. Unfortunately his player took down the sole picture of Yach and his tattoo, so I had to improvise how it'd look, arrrgh.

I feel a bit cheap sliding that screenshot in the back there, but well ... my Photoshop landscape skills aren't good enough to replicate the magical land of Atys at all, and the lighting is all wrong, dammit. Oh, and fun fact!! That Fyrosian gun is taller than Taniqa is!
