People have been asking for tutorials on how I draw/how I color. Actually if you search "tutorial" in my Gallery you can find one or two I've made in the past, but they're a couple of years old so it's time I drew up a new one, anyway. I'm no good at tutorials or teaching, but hopefully this answers those questions on how I go about doing things.
that is the best idea of coloring and working with drawings digitally that I have ever seen. I have a very whispy style, i've been told, and it's always been hard to scan and color that. this makes total sense. thank you SO much for this tutorial! I will try it and see how much better they can be
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Before that I drew the image, then scanned it and then I had to draw it again on PC...it took so long!! I with I could do this "Multiply" step, but I du not have such a great program like Photoshop CS4 so I can't do this T__T
That's unfortunate. I find that if you plan on doing something artistic for a living, it helps to dish out the extra dollars to afford the proper programs. =/
I know I already posted something similar to this, but THANK YOU again for this! I recently finished my first CS4 drawing, and your methodology totally saved my bacon. The finished art [link] was so much easier to accomplish than my usual method, ie, tracing over my pencil lines with the brush tool in photoshop. So, again, thanks a bunch.
You are most welcome. I'm glad it helped you out, and that picture is very cute. Reminds me of a character from a children's book I used to love, who was a little girl in some rainbow land ... I can't remember her name though. Too bad!
