Oded Jahk'Al, Egyptian jackal bandit from my first solo short The Temple of Anubis, seen here: [link] Incidentally, it is also the very first maquette I ever attempted. The proportions are off, the pose is awkward (but very sturdy, with three points of contact), and apart from the folds in the cloth I'm still not all that proud of this one, which is why I've hidden it away until just now despite having made it almost two years ago.
wow. I think it looks good even though it was a first attempt. I thought about trying one myself for some characters I have but, I know they would be in no way awesome like this.
As for the animation, it's a shame it is unfinished. I rather enjoyed the short bit you had done. I really must compliment you on the morph transition when Oded did when he picked up the feather artifact.
I'm not so fond of the animation because the story was rushed last minute, hence the transformation, which I'm not actually fond of. I'm happy if others are impressed, though.
For your first attempt I think it looks OK. I'm currently making MY first maquette and.... well I don't think it's going to turn out looking as good as this =/
Have you done maquettes for 'Honour Amongst Thieves'?

Blew my mind.
I have many pieces I am not happy or fond of, even though others are like "so cool!" Lol.
Good luck on your next bit of work. I look forward to seeing more of your stuff!
You inspire me to become a better artist.
