Louis Is A ... Redhead?by *Canadian-Rainwater

Acting on some advice from the professor, I revisited Louis's color swatches. He suggested experimenting with Louis's hair color from blonde to a red or auburn, as the light hair risks making his already-pale face disappear further.

However, I feel that red hair takes away from the "Frenchness" of his character (since we're playing with stereotypes here, and the "Frenchness" being the reason for his ridiculous pale makeup in the first place); by that stereotype vein, red/auburn hair is more commonly associated with trickster-type characters, whereas Louis is about elegance and grace, despite his silly streak.

Louis will likely stay a blondie, but I experimented with the possibilities regardless, which included more refined outfit combinations. Feedback is welcome, but it's most useful if you can give me reasons why certain combinations seem to work and why others don't besides an "I like X,Y,Z".

Although the red hair does look a bit different on him, I would still love to see Louis in some fabulous red hair on Valentines Day. The day allows him to be mischievous.

I love the blonde with ALL of the outfits, I really don't like the red, the strawberry I actually really like as well, especially with the purple jacket outfit, and I actually think the brown looks good with the purple jacket outfit as well. As for overall, I would suggest that you keep him blonde. It's so true that the general "Frenchman" in his appearance is lost when you change the hair color. However, I really suggest playing around with the strawberry hair. Maybe you could do a strip or two where it is accidentally dyed, and Louis is freaking out, while James just face palms in the corner, lol. I'm not one to tell people what to do, but I say that what you've got going is fantastic. ^^

Definitely not brown hair, that is too plain for him. While the strawberry red is different, it also just doesn't click for me and gets lost in his makeup. The red is certainly eye catching, but doesn't look "real" (cartoon, I know, but with the makeup he looks like a gay party clown. Sorry Louis XD). So out of the hair I think blonde suits him best. You could also try strawberry blond if you want a hint of red, it's like the strawberry red but leans more towards a golden blonde, but the light blonde suits him. It's elegant and angelic, making his occupation and sometimes silliness more interesting.

Out of the jackets, I think blue looks best on his frame with the blonde hair. It doesn't flash his orientation in big neon letters, but it's still...uh...dandy? I think his mannerisms and dialogue would better show his orientation anyway. If you want to show his orientation in his clothing more, I'd go with the purple and pink sash since it makes his hair and make up flow but stand out too. Is his hair ribbon always black? I could see him having a collection of fabulously colored ones...But anyway, that's my take. Love your work
