Preparing some costume sketches for Captain Louis Despatis and his rival Commodore James Hunter, but I'm running up against a snag. Experimenting with red clothing since it seemed a popular color, and testing powdery makeup as per my professors suggestions. I'm having trouble deciding between blue/red makeup and the pink/white hair, however.

Will be scrapped soon, I'd appreciate any feedback in the meantime.

That is an insane amount of pink but it would work well during the Valentines Days. Haha! I do like the first one to the left. The red eyeshadow works well with the other colors and the pink hair makes his face pop.

I like the fourth one, because having the red make-up just makes him to mono-chromatic; needs a little something different. And I also like him with white hair, the pink would've worked if his suit wasn't red.

Hmm I would think the blue makeup and white hair would look the best, maybe one of the weathers would be pink then, to make whole thing look balanced.
Red makeup+pink hair is just little too much. White hair and red makeup is fine too, but his hat would still need something colorful..

I did later draw him with white hair, blue makeup, pink feathers. But this will probably only be one of many costumes in his wardrobe.

I think the white hair/blue make up looks the best. it gives the eyes a bit of contrast. so they don't blend in with the rest of the outfit.
