I had a dream with James Hunter in it looking like a total badass, so I drew it. Or tried to. It was one of those instances where the more I drew it the less I could picture how it really was anymore, but this is close enough.
So, I just got accepted via Early Decision to my dream school, Vanderbilt University. Their mascot? The Commodores. Ohhhhh yeaahhhhh.
Also, it makes no logical sense, but because you inspire me with your Commodore character and I got into the school with the Commodores, I feel like you had some hand in the universe allowing them to admit me. So thank you. :-D
I will admit I was a little confused at your calling him a Commodore - I'm not sure exactly what year you're setting this in, but I'm very familiar with Age-of-Sail BRN stuff, and around 1812 they had the rank of Commodore but only as a temporary title, for the most senior captain within a squadron during the time that squadron was working together - but I figured you'd get it all sorted out for the graphic novel at least. But still... Go Commodores! :-D
Commodore is an old rank from his earliest-earliest version. Really I just wanted him to be some sort of official with a big title, I'll be sorting it out later for sure. He doesn't begin in such a high rank either, of course.
