Ahh, the sweet smell of homework.

Before beginning our animations we're required to color the animatic, and to present a "mood board" of the color schemes for the primary scenes of our animation. Since the animation is only a minute long there isn't a lot of time for transition, but essentially the mood goes from bright and earthy to dark and sinister.
