Well my animation course at LASALLE (College of the Arts, Singapore) has resumed , and with it comes another struggle to bring all-new characters to life. I've been sitting on piles of sketches I'm reluctant to upload lest I make any major changes to the direction I'm going in, but I spent enough time on this to make me want to showcase it here. Call it a sneak-peak.
Meet Captain Fabulous, limp-wrist pirate extraordinaire who will do anything for attention from Commodore Homophobe. This was a "quick" comic to illustrate a possible story idea after a session brainstorming with my animation professor.
Why do I get the feeling that when Desmoira and Louis meet he is going to hate her hair? It's about as long as his and really thick but it's a mass of wild tangled curls. And probably doesn't look the best after being onboard a pirate ship with Jack Sparrow. Is Louis one of those people that would probably try to dress her up? I had an idea Jack Sparrow attacks Louis ship and finds out that the ship belongs to Louis who he does not like at all. Desmoira boards the ship as well and meets Louis who has probably heard all about the newest princess. I mean how many other princesses have violet eyes with blue and silver flecks black hair wears a choker and can't speak? He'd probably be horrified with her state of dress and the fact that she's a princess and she isn't dressed like one and that she's in Jack's company which is let's face it probably not the best. But she is supposed to learn how to fight like a pirate and sail but Jack was the only choice they had. Would it be too OOC of Louis to offer to teach her and offer a place on his ship? Desmoira said she'd rather spend her 6 months at sea with Louis instead of Jack. Even if she is a bit of a tomboy and hates pink. She'd probably learn a lot more from Louis at any and it would throw James in a loop. Thoughts?
My thoughts are that I don't think you really understand the characters much at all ... which is why I said I'd avoid including them in fanfiction in the first place.
